vacation in vancouver and alaska

@ 3:48 p.m.

wow. it's been an extremely long time since i last wrote in here.

it was mainly because i went away on vacation from may 30 to june 10. i was so busy the days prior to my vacation, i really didn't get a chance to be on here at all.

and then of course when i came back there was lot to catch up on all around with everything. i guess things are more or less settled now for sure. anime expo passed about 2 weeks ago, and that kept me busy then. and then this past weekend, ris was hosting some kind of streaming party, i only went for one of the days though.

i really can't even remember what i wrote about last time i was here, whether i talked about my upcoming vacation or not and etc. i guess because of that, for awhile i was just not interested in writing in here because it seemed like it would require too much effort...

well, my vacation was great. it was me and my mom though. i said i would accompany her and c didn't want to go cause my mom would be there. so we flew to vancouver, and then we were on a shuttle bus for the next 4 days, driving around british columbia. we went through lake louise, and kelowna, and hope, to name a few places we stopped at. it was beautiful scenery! then on monday, we were back in vancouver, and we got on a cruise that sailed through alaska. we stopped at ketchikan, juneau, and skagway.

in ketchikan, we did most of our shopping, and walked around, also there was this place called creek street, which had a lot of stores, and at the very end was dolly's house. she was one of the last prostitues to live on that block. all the other properties have turned into other businesses now. in juneau, we went whale watching, and it was awesome. we saw so many orcas, which is rarely apparently, but we only saw one humpback. but it was still pretty cool. i got a really nice tail shot when the whale went back into the water. later on we went on a helicopter to go more in towards the mountain, where there were tons of snow, and a dog camp, where they train dogs for dog sledding! and it was fucking awesome when we got to ride one of those. it was a once in a lifetime experience. i would love to do it again, but i have to say it was a very costly experience. i'm not sure i would be so in awe doing it a second time. in skagway, there wasn't much to do at all. we took a tour of the red onion, a prostitue house turned bar. but they still had some of the rooms upstairs set up how it was and there was ladies dressed in those old attires with the corsets giving us guides.

i was bummed to come back home of course, and i've been wanting to go on vacation again every minute since i've been back, but money has been super super tight because i spent so much money while there, and also because c still hasn't found a job.

i'm getting extremely worried, and anxious about the whole thing. i know it won't be an easy process, i didn't expect it to be, but it's been really hard to keep hopeful. at times like this, i wish i was religious, so i could pray to god and hope that he could answer my prayers. c's so smart, and good at his progamming stuff, i don't understand why nobody will hire him? he told me that all but one person in his graduating class has all found jobs.

i'm trying not to fall into despair about this really.

ugh.

well, it's now 4pm and time to go home. maybe next time i'll talk about anime expo if i find the interest to come back here any time soon. sigh.
