back to normal
@ 3:54 p.m.
wow, it's almost been a week? and here i was updating thinking that for once i'm totally on top of updating this thing and doing the unexpected.
well, i just thought i'd give a quick update. Finally on Wed, everything that had been going on with c's school and such ended. his finals, all his projects, everything was due so it was all done with. on thursday, he was home all day and catching up on sleep and what not, and in what seemed like months and months, we finally spent a night together. (usually i'm in bed, and he comes home at like past 2am) Friday was his actual graduation ceremony, so i took the day off. there's really not much to say about that i guess. again, i was just happy that's it's finally been done. we got home after all that and then lied in bed for awhile, trying to sleep, but c couldn't fall asleep and i only did for a little bit. then we went to the cheesecake factory because c's mom had wanted to see us because we hadn't eaten together in a really long time (a couple of years probably) and we used to do it quite often when c lived with his mom. it was also supposed to be his graduation present type thing. i had a nice time there. we decided to catch iron man 3, because i mentioned it.. thought it would be nice, since we haven't seen a movie since last november or december! jesus christ!! we were in the parking lot for a little bit before the movie was supposed to begin and we started kissing, and things led a little bit further. it's been awhile since anything has happened, just because he's never home. and when he is home, i'm alseep, or on the weekends, he's too stressed or he's doing school work... or he was at school. it was fun. already, i'm feeling close to him again, and i'm happy to be able to bridge this gap that's been going on awhile now. after the movie, we came back home and went to bed, as it was pretty late then. i enjoyed iron man 3, maybe because i hadn't had such high expecations. the plot seemed decent enough anyway.
on saturday was the kroq weenie roast concert. i forget if i had written about it on here, but basically i bought tickets to this concert that our local radio station does every year. a whole bunch of bands play. i didn't really get how it worked, but now i get it obviously cause i went. i thought it was a little weird that we were supposed to be there at 12:30pm... i mean, most concerts are at the evenings. but whatever i thought, what do i know? well it turns out that the place (verizon amphiteather) is kind of like a park, and they had so many things set up there including stores selling merchandise, and the other stuff was all food and drink (rip off! esp. the $10 budweiser beer), they had like a mini stage set up on part of the area, and then there was the mainstage. well, basically 6 bands played for half an hour each starting at 1:30pm, and then at 4:30pm, the bigger bands started to play on the main stage. the first 4 or 5 bands got 30 mins each, then 35 for the next 2 or 3, and then the last few bands played for 45 minutes. it was about 10:15pm when everything ended. the parking lot was a huge mess because everyone was trying to leave at the same time. we stayed there til past 12:30am if i remember correctly. by then, finally everything had emptied out. i had fallen asleep though so it was no big deal to me. i had a really great time actually and i think i would definitely consider going again, if they had great bands again. i mainly wanted to go this year so much because so many of the bands playing were so awesome (and luckily the timing and scheduling worked out because c wouldn't have gone if school was still going on). i loved almost all the bands that played, and i definitely knew a few songs (and liked them) from each band that played. my favorite of course was jimmy eat world, as they are one of my favorite bands. but they also had of monsters and men, the black keys, awolnation, imagine dragons, and silversun pick ups and vampire weekend was okay. the only band i didn't care for was 30 seconds to mars but whatever, we just walked away from our chairs when they walked away. it turns out now that apparantly when they went on stage... i thought it was them, but it was actually stone temple pilots. but i didn't know the song that was played when they came on so i just thought it was 30 seconds to mars. oops.. apparently chester from linkin park played with STP... but whatever i don't consider it much of a loss considering i don't care for STP and don't really like linkin park either. When we came back finally 30 seconds to mars was ending. like i said i had a great time and would go again... if the right bands were playing.
on sunday, we mostly relaxed. we slept in til 12pm, and hung around together and watched some Lost Girl. then later on we ended up having sex, a big deal since it hadn't happened in awhile... and it made me feel better that everything's back to normal. Yep, this has been what i've been waiting for for months.. i'm glad everything's back to normal. and of course.. the only thing now is I gotta cross my fingers and really keep hoping that c finds a job.
